Rovers’ supporters join forces with NCS for litter pick at stadium

1 August 2019

Supporters joined with volunteers from the National Citizen Service (NCS) (a Club Doncaster Foundation led programme for young people) to pick up litter around the stadium on July 26.

The group were supplied with litter pickers, bin bags and gloves by Doncaster Council and spent a few hours tidying the area around the Keepmoat Stadium ahead of the launch of the 2019/20 season on August 3.

Volunteers were rewarded for their efforts with refreshments and free match tickets to a Rovers game as thanks.

NCS programme manager Tom Foy said: “We are thrilled to have our young people involved in a project so close to home. NCS is a programme which aims to benefit the local community and highlights the value of volunteering and making a difference. We would love to be part of the event should the club continue this fantastic community social action.”
