Woltman learning a lot

13 September 2022

Max Woltman says he’s enjoying being a part of the Rovers squad after his deadline day move from Premier League side Liverpool.

The 19-year-old is out on loan in the EFL for the first time in his career, and says he’s already learning a lot from the experienced players in the group.

On taking things on board:

“I’ve enjoyed my first couple of weeks here and I’ve settled in nicely. The training levels have been really good and the lads have made me feel welcome.

“It’s been good learning a different style of play, but one thing that remains the same is the desire to win and get three points.

“Seeing the experienced lads and how they do things has been good for me to already pick up little bits and mirror them in my own game.”

On looking ahead to Barrow as the next test:

“We’re all looking forward to Tuesday, it is two teams battling at the top end of the table so we know how important it is.

“I’m keen to make an impact whether that’s down the middle or just off, I’ve been working hard to try and put myself in the manager’s thoughts.

“I feel I can score and create goals, the more of that I can do then it will push the team on and give us a better chance of getting promoted.”
