We are proud to celebrate a year of the Charity 100 programme, in association with Keepmoat Homes.

Launched in 2022, the programme was designed to focus the club’s charity efforts and commit to supporting 100 good causes throughout the year.

This included the main charity partner Club Doncaster Foundation, EFL affiliate charities and local initiatives across a tier system.

Club Doncaster chief commercial officer Jon Warburton said: “We’ve managed to support a wide range of community groups and good causes across Doncaster and beyond.

“The reason why we brought it into being was the sheer number of requests we receive as a football club for support from charities and general worthwhile good causes.

“We’d love to support them all but that is not always possible so the idea of Charity 100 was to commit as a club over 12 months to support 100 requests.

“When we spoke to Keepmoat about it, they were really keen to support us on it and over the last 12 months we’ve been able to do some really great things with their support.”

As well as registered charities, the programme has supported individual fundraising efforts such as that for Rio Spurr, son of former Rovers defender Tommy Spurr, who stole everyone’s hearts with his appearance on the pitch earlier this season.

Charity 100 was also able to offer additional support to the club’s annual festive visit to the children’s ward at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, as well as providing items to aid fundraising to small charities in the local area.

Warburton said: “We’ve been able to support so many good causes and we’re blown away with how well it has worked. We’re looking forward to another year of supporting good causes.”
