Simon Mather will be the man in the middle when Rovers take on Newport in Sky Bet League Two this weekend.
The Manchester-based official was added to the EFL list of referees at the start of the 2021/22 campaign, and first took charge of Rovers in a 1-1 draw at Crewe Alexandra in October 2021.
He has overseen 30 matches so far this season, handing out 125 yellow cards and four reds in the process.
Mather will be assisted by Chris Isherwood and Steven Rushton at the Eco-Power Stadium. Anthony Moore is the fourth official.
