Professional development phase coach Frank Sinclair was thrilled to see his side come from two goals down and take victory over Lincoln City.

The Imps were two goals to the good until the 85th minute but Max Adamson bagged a brace from the bench and Will Flint added another to completely turn the game on its head.

He said: “It’s brilliant, the lads have shown great spirit again because we’ve been in this position before against Lincoln and they’re a very good side who can punish you for any little mistake.

“In the first 45 minutes, I can’t remember a half where we’ve created so many chances and somehow not taken the lead.

“It was a little disappointing because they’ve had two counter attacks in a half that we’ve dominated and we’ve gone into the break two goals down.

“It was very similar to the last time we played them so it was disappointing but I told the lads to keep going, keep believing and get the next goal to see where that takes you.

“In the second half we started really well, we were dominant on the front foot and we pinned them in."

Sinclair was also full of praise for first year striker Max Adamson who returned to the side to bag a brace that ultimately won Rovers the match.

He added: “All of the lads have made a positive impact during the game, but when Max Adamson came on he’s scored two goals to turn the game around.

“We’ve missed him since he got injured and he’s been eager to get back involved so we threw him on and he’s always a threat on the front foot.

“We went more direct, he’s got the winner and really, in the time he was on, he should’ve had a hat-trick."
