Harrison Biggins insists the Rovers squad need to take a long look at themselves as they seek to address the poor performance at Newport County.
Rovers were well-beaten on a difficult day at Rodney Parade, losing 4-0 with the first three goals coming inside the opening 22 minutes.
“The start of the game was not as we planned and it just led on from there,” Biggins said. “The whole team is deflated in there and it’s tough to speak after it.
“We’ll go in Monday, dissect it and go through it and we’ve really got to look at ourselves now and bounce back on Tuesday.
“It’s difficult to put your finger on it straight after the game but the basics weren’t there. We’ve spoken about it before - winning second balls, winning our duels - and it just wasn’t good enough all round.”
