Welcome to Matchday Live - our new way to follow all the match action involving Rovers.
We will be bringing you text commentary of our matches on these pages, which will allow us to bring you greater detail of what is happening on the pitch with your boys in red and white.
Throughout pre-season we will be trialling this service so bear with us if we encounter some teething problems but we should be ready and firing for the start of the new campaign should we make this a permanent feature of our matchday coverage.
The new era at Rovers begins in earnest as we welcome Harrogate Town to the Eco-Power Stadium for the opening game of the 23/24 Sky Bet League Two campaign

You read that right.

52' | OFF THE LINE
Rovers look certain to take the lead - only be to denied at the last month. Great play saw Tommy Rowe take possession in the box and touch it around his man. Mark Oxley raced out to block but it fell to Jon Taylor, who looked to pick his spot but Matty Foulds slid in to block on the line.
47' | GREAT CHALLENGE
It appeared that Jack Muldoon was going to break clear into the Rovers box until Joseph Olowu's superbly-timed sliding challenge denied him that opportunity.
46' | BACK UNDERWAY
Jon Taylor takes the kick-off to start the second half.
📸 ACTION
HT | THAT'S THE BREALK
And we are goalless at half time.
45' | ADDED MINUTES
There will be a minimum of three minutes added at the end of the first half.
37' | DANGER
Rovers quickly break up the pitch from the previous chance. Jack Senior hit the byline and played a tantalising low ball across the box which Joe Ironside just couldn't quite reach.
36' | MORE GOOD WORK FROM LAWLOR
Two very good pieces of keeping from the Rovers stopper. First, a corner threatened to creep under his bar until he rose and punched away. And from the follow-up, he made a smart save from Dean Cornelius.
31' | OFF TARGET
A free kick into the box was only half cleared out to Jack Senior, who lashed a first time effort high and wide from 30 yards.
30' | COMPETITIVE ONE
There's not been a tremendous amount of action in the final third so far - largely because there has been very little between the two teams to this point. Both are cancelling each other out somewhat, with neither really able to get into their full flow.
21' | VERY CLOSE
Luke Molyneux raced onto a ball over the top that wasn't cleared by the visitors and tried to clip the ball over the on-rushing Harrogate keeper Mark Oxley but watched it drop agonisingly wide.
17' | SUPERB CHALLENGE
Jack Senior comes to Rovers' rescue with a stunning sliding challenge inside the box. Abraham Odoh played Sam Folarin clear on the right and he raced into the box, threatening to go for goal or pick out a team mate. But Senior slid in to turn the ball behind for a corner, from which Harrogate could not capitalise.
11' | GREAT SAVE
Ian Lawlor is called into action for the first time and does really well. First, Jack Muldoon was played in clear in the box by Rod McDonald, with Lawlor batting away the shot with a great save. And as play was recycled, the Irish keeper reacted again to stop and hold a shot from Sam Folarin.
7' | FIRST SNIFF OF GOAL
And it's for Rovers. A corner came in deep to the back post where it was headed back across goal by Joe Ironside. Richard Wood and Tommy Rowe rose to follow up, among a crowd of defenders, and it came off a head and went over the bar.
5' | BALL IN THE AIR
There's not been a great deal of play from either side in these early stages buta couple of sniffs of breaks for Rovers.
1' | UNDERWAY
And for the first time this season we are up and running in Sky Bet League Two as Harrogate's Dean Cornelius takes the kick-off.
GETTING READY 📸

And it's six debutants in the starting XI for Rovers this afternoon - plus a re-debut for Ian Lawlor.
