Ben Atkinson has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Notts County on Saturday.
The Cheshire official has taken charge of two matches so far this term, issuing 12 yellow cards and one red across those games, which both came in Sky Bet League Two.
This will be his first ever outing refereeing a Rovers game, having stepped up from the National League in the summer.
Away from the game, Atkinson is a dental surgeon.
Atkinson will be assisted by Conor Brown and Paul Stonier on Saturday while Paul Newhouse has been assigned fourth official duties.
