Rovers U18s EFL Youth Alliance League campaign will now commence on home turf after a fixture reversal with local rivals Scunthorpe United.
The youth team will now start the new season at the Hoober Homes Elite Performance Centre on Saturday, August 5, with a kick off time of 11am against The Iron.
Frank Sinclair’s side will be looking to hit the ground running on matchday one and reignite their impressive home form from last season, having only lost on one occasion at Cantley Park last term.
The return fixture, originally scheduled to be at home, will now take place in North Lincolnshire on Saturday, March 2.
After completing pre-season, Sinclair felt his side had to keep on the same track to be in the best position possible for the new term.
He said: “We just have to keeping preparing like we have been doing, keep striving to improve our play, keep working on the fundamentals and keep trying to develop both individually and collectively.
“Scunthorpe will come over here and we know that it’ll be a very tough game because the last time we played against them, they put seven past us.
“We certainly won’t be taking it lightly because of that and we obviously want to go and get a good result to start the season.”
