The Dons will kick-off their return to the Betfred Championship with a home game against York Knights on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

The fixtures for the new campaign have been released, with Richard Horne’s side beginning with back-to-back home games as South Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Eagles visit on Friday, March 29.

DONCASTER ROVERS BELLES

The wait for Ciaran Toner’s first home game in charge of the Belles was stretched further following the postponement of the clash with league leaders Barnsley due to a frozen pitch.

Toner will try again this Sunday (December 10) as the Belles host Chorley in a rearranged fixture at the Iqbal Poultry Stadium.

DONCASTER ROVERS

Rovers booked their place in the last 16 of the Bristol Street Motors with a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest U21 thanks to goals from Luke Molyneux, Kyle Hurst and Joe Ironside.

However, the campaign in the Emirates FA Cup was brought to an end with a 2-1 defeat to League One high-flyers Peterborough United.

Rovers confirmed the appointment of David Rennie as the club’s new head of medical.

Rennie spent 20 years as head physio at Leicester City - a period which included the Foxes’ incredible Premier League title win and subsequent Champions League campaign.

CLUB DONCASTER FOUNDATION

The Foundation has launched its Christmas Teddy Appeal ahead of the club’s annual visit to the children’s ward at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

Supporters can back the campaign by donating £10 which will enable a soft toy to be delivered to a young patient on the ward this Christmas.
