Ed Duckworth has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Bradford City on December 22.
The Cheshire official has taken charge of 18 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League Two. He has issued 81 yellow cards and three red across those games.
This will be his second outing of the season refereeing a Rovers game, having handled September’s goalless draw against Swindon Town, during which he sent off Tommy Rowe. The game was his first involving Rovers, having only been promoted to the EFL in the summer.
Duckworth will be assisted by Jack Forder and Lee Freeman on Friday while Richard Woodward has been assigned fourth official duties.
