Simon Mather has been appointed referee for our Bristol Street Motors Trophy round of 32 tie with Nottingham Forest on December 5.
The Manchester official has taken charge of 14 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League One and League Two. He has issued 70 yellow cards and nine reds across those games.
This will be his second outing of the season refereeing a Rovers game, having taken charge of the 2-1 win at Hull City in the Carabao Cup in August.
He has handled Rovers matches on four previous occasions in total since over the last three seasons, since being promoted to the EFL in 2021.
Of the four matches, Rovers won just one - the triumph at Hull.
Mather will be assisted by Ivan Stankovic and Wayne Grunnill on Tuesday while James Westgate has been assigned fourth official duties.
