Thomas Kirk has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Barrow on Tuesday.
The official was appointed to the EFL at the start of the season and has taken charge of 27 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League Two. He has issued 95 yellow cards and two red across those games.
Despite his newcomer status in the EFL, this will be the second Rovers game Kirk has overseen, having handled the 3-1 home defeat to Mansfield Town in September, during which he awarded a penalty to each side.
That has been his only Rovers fixture to date.
Kirk will be assisted by Hristo Karaivanov and Gareth Viccars on Tuesday while Garreth Rhodes has been assigned fourth official duties.
