Sam Purkiss has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Bradford City on Saturday.
The London-based official has taken charge of 24 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League One and Two. He has issued 86 yellow cards and ten red across those games.
This will be his first outing of the season refereeing a Rovers game and he has only handled them on one previous occasion.
Purkiss - who combines officiating with a career as a lawyer - took charge of last season’s 1-0 defeat at Gillingham, in which he booked two members of each team.
On Saturday he will be assisted by Chris Isherwood and Mark Cunliffe, while Robert Atkin has been assigned fourth official duties.
