Ollie Yates has been appointed referee for Rovers’ visit to Swindon Town on Saturday.
The Staffordshire official has taken charge of 23 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League Two. He has issued 90 yellow cards and one red across those games.
This will be his second outing of the season refereeing a Rovers game having taken charge of August’s 2-2 draw at AFC Wimbledon.
He had previously overseen seven Rovers fixtures, stretching back to the 2016/17 season when he took charge of the 5-1 win at Morecambe in James Coppinger’s 500th appearance for the club. Of the eight games he has officiated, Rovers have won four and drawn two.
Yates will be assisted by Dean Treleaven and Thomas Harty on Saturday while Richard Morris has been assigned fourth official duties.
