Haines to take charge of Tranmere clash

6 February 2023

Andy Haines has been appointed referee for Rovers’ rearranged clash with Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday.

The Tyne & Wear official has taken charge of 19 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League Two. He has issued 57 yellow cards and three red across those games.

This will be his second outing of the season refereeing a Rovers game, having taken charge of the 2-1 defeat at Hartlepool United in October.

Tuesday will be his 21st occasion taking charge of a Rovers fixture, going back to March 2008. Of his 20 so far, Rovers have won six and drawn seven.

Haines will be assisted by Ivan Stankovic and Darren Williams on Tuesday while Bradley Hall has been assigned fourth official duties.
