There were plenty of smiles on faces as the squad went All Rover Rossington last week.
Visits to five schools in the village, along with Rossington Leisure Centre and Rossington Main FC marked a focused community day which ended with the Meet The Coaches event at The Styrupp.
Rovers players took to the school field with pupils for mini games before being put through their paces in a different way with Q&As. All Saints Academy, Pheasant Bank Academy, St Joseph’s School, Grange Lane Infant Academy and Tornedale School all received visits on the day.
George Miller, James Maxwell and George Broadbent greeted young swimmers ahead of their lessons at the leisure centre, operated by our commercial partners DCLT.
Joseph Olowu, Charlie Seaman and Kyle Hurst got an early look around Oxford Street, home of last Saturday’s hosts Rossington Main, as they met supporters purchasing tickets for the friendly.
Rounding off the day was the Q&A event with Grant McCann and Cliff Byrne at a packed out Styrupp.
Club Doncaster marketing manager Mark Hughesman said: “We were absolutely delighted with another great day in the community, which was embraced by our players and the community alike.
“With our friendly at Rossington on Saturday, we decided to concentrate our latest All Rover event on the village and it proved to be very successful.
“It’s always fantastic to see the players interacting with supporters young and old and creating lasting memories.”
