Grant McCann feels the work done at the pre-season training camp in Scotland will stand Rovers in good stead heading into the new campaign.
The staff and squad spent four days at the University of St Andrews, mixing intensive training sessions with team bonding as preparations for the 23/24 Sky Bet League Two season stepped up in earnest.
"I've loved it," McCann said. "It's been good to have everyone together, the players and staff.
"The pitches are great and St Andrews is such a lovely place. We managed to get a game of golf in with the players early on and since then it's just been hard work.
"I think it's been really positive and it's going to hold us in good stead for the rest of pre-season."
