Doncaster Rovers

Rovers U18s will hit the road on the opening day of the 2023/24 season as they travel to local rivals Scunthorpe United to kick start their EFL Youth Alliance League campaign.

Frank Sinclair’s side will then return to the Hoober Homes Elite Performance Centre on August 12 to face Grimsby Town for their first test on home soil, before ending the month of August at Rotherham United.

September then sees the youth team host Huddersfield Town, travel to Mansfield Town and finally entertain reigning champions Harrogate Town on the last day of the month.

Rovers then take on Hartlepool United in the north east before hosting EFL-returners Notts County in October.

November provides the youngsters with a mouth-watering month as they face an away trip to Lincoln City and the challenge of Bradford City at Cantley Park.

Rovers final two games in the run up to the Christmas break sees Sinclair’s side play hosts to Burton Albion before travelling to Grimsby to bring in the festive period.

The youth team return from the break at home to Mansfield on January 6 before a trip to Notts County and then another home fixture, this time against Lincoln.

The penultimate month of the regular season sees Huddersfield host Rovers in West Yorkshire, a South Yorkshire derby against Rotherham and a trip to Harrogate.

In March, Rovers have away games at Bradford and Burton sandwiched by the final home games of the season against Scunthorpe on March 2 and Hartlepool on March 23.

At the conclusion of the regular season, Rovers U18s will enter a strongly contested merit league to end the 2023/24 campaign.
