Rovers will kick off the new era at the club with a Yorkshire derby as Harrogate Town visit the Eco-Power Stadium on the opening day of the 2023/24 campaign.
Grant McCann will begin his second spell in charge of Rovers on August 5 as the Sulphurites make the short trip down the A1.
The first road outing sends Rovers to Newport County on August 12 before back to back home games against Nottinghamshire opposition in Mansfield Town (Tuesday, August 15) and newly-promoted Notts County (August 19).
The first month of the season is rounded off with a trip to MK Dons on August 26.
Rovers will welcome Bradford City on December 23 for the season’s other Yorkshire derby, kicking off a busy festive period. A trip to Notts County awaits on Boxing Day, with another trip to Nottinghamshire and Mansfield Town on December 29. New Year’s Day will see MK Dons visit the Eco-Power Stadium.
The reverse fixtures of the Yorkshire derbies will take place on January 6 with a visit to Harrogate Town and January 20 as Rovers visit Bradford City. The away day at Harrogate may be moved however should either side reach the third round of the FA Cup.
The Easter weekend brings a trip to Crawley Town on Good Friday while last season’s National League champions Wrexham visit DN4 on Easter Monday.
And the campaign will close with a trip to Gillingham on April 27.
