Luke Molyneux says Rovers have to be ready to put their opponents to the sword as they welcome Harrogate Town for the first game of a home league double.
Rovers host their fellow Yorkshire outfit on Tuesday before welcoming AFC Wimbledon at the weekend.
And Molyneux believes it is essential for Rovers to take advantage of back-to-back games against sides below them in Sky Bet League Two.
Molyneux on the test of Harrogate:
“The game should be a lot different and a lot more about us having the ball and us creating more chances.
“I’m looking forward to it and it should be a good game.
“We always go into each game hoping to get the win. I think these two are winnable games against two teams that are below us in the league.
“Harrogate haven’t had the best of seasons so we want to go into this one and get the result and a few goals to take us into the Wimbledon game on Saturday.
“We went down to their place and got the late goals for the draw but I feel like we’re a completely different team now and we should try to dominate the game.”
On facing sides out of form:
“You’ve just got to put them to the sword as much as you can. You’ve got to keep the momentum on your side. If you can get the early goals then it just kills them off and stops any momentum they can get.
“I think we’ve been starting well in games in the last few weeks. We’re always on the front foot and trying to create chances. If we can do that on Tuesday and Saturday, it could be huge.”
