Officials appointed for Crewe fixture

28 March 2023

Ross Joyce will be the man in the middle when Rovers take on Crewe Alexandra in Sky Bet League Two this weekend.

The Cleveland-based official was added to the EFL list of referees ahead of the 2015/16 campaign, and first took charge of a Rovers league game in October 2015, when goals from Andy Williams and Aaron Taylor-Sinclair secured a 2-0 win at Blackpool.

He has taken charge of Rovers on 15 occasions over the years, with Rovers losing just three of those fixtures. His most recent action was the South Yorkshire derby between Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday at Oakwell on March 21.

So far this season, he has overseen 23 games, handing out 95 yellow cards and five reds in the process.

Joyce will be assisted by Declan Ford and Simon Clayton at the Eco-Power Stadium. Aaron Bannister is the fourth official.
