Officials confirmed for trip to Stockport County

1 March 2023

Robert Lewis has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Stockport County on Saturday.

The Shropshire official has taken charge of 26 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League One and League Two. He has issued 91 yellow cards and one red across those games.

This will be his first outing of the season refereeing a Rovers game but he previously handled them on seven occasions, dating back to the League One title-winning 2012/13 season.

His most recent game involving Rovers was last season's 2-2 draw at AFC Wimbledon. Of the seven matches, Rovers won just one - the 2-1 triumph at Oldham on Boxing Day 2012.

Lewis will be assisted by Adam Crysell and Mark Russell on Saturday while Billy Smallwood has been assigned fourth official duties.
