Doncaster Rovers Academy are delighted to welcome ten new apprentices to the U18s team who have earnt a two-year full-time scholarship with the football club.
Jacob Bryant, Jacob Bacon, Kasper Williams, Kenzie Dillon, Sam Brown, Jamie Tomlinson and Charlie Thompson have earnt scholarships after successfully navigating through Rovers’ Academy.
Oliver Piekarski, Jaiden Campbell-Ryce and Kenneth Imariagbe join from Wolverhampton Wanderers, Nottingham Forest and Burnely respectively to start their scholarships with the club.
Lead professional development phase coach Frank Sinclair said: “For these lads it is their first ever full-time job that they are taking on and it's the next chapter of their footballing career.
"Our priority is to ensure that we give them all the best possible opportunity to earn a professional contract with the club while ensuring they successfully complete their college programme and other CPD projects.
"The induction evening was a fantastic opportunity for the players to meet all of the staff who are here to support them on their journey over the next two-years before signing their official contracts with the club."
The new first year scholars were introduced to their scholarships at an induction evening at the Eco-Power Stadium where they signed their contracts, had a Q&A with Rovers first-team players who have graduated from the Academy; Bobby Faulkner and Liam Ravenhill, and had talks from the PFA, LFE and other Academy management staff.
The youngsters will join Jake Oram, Freddie Allen, Will Green, Will Flint, Justin Bennett, Harry Wood, Chris Pooley and Max Adamson who will start their second and final year of their apprenticeships from July 1, 2023.
