Mo Faal’s enthusiasm was described as a infectious by Rovers assistant manager Cliff Byrne after continuing his run of goals in the win at Tranmere Rovers.
The on-loan West Bromwich Albion striker produced a sublime dink over Tranmere keeper Joe Murphy to take his tally to five goals for the season.
And Byrne praised the 20-year-old for his composure in front of goal.
“He’s full of confidence and he’s been a breath of fresh air since he came in,” Byrne said. “We know he’s young and he’s going to have dips in form but he just loves playing football.
“I think everyone can see that with how he goes about his business and it was a terrific finish from him.
“Lee Glover always speaks to the forwards and James Coppinger gets around them as well and says ‘you’ve got to be ready, your chances will come.’
“No matter how your general performance is looking, as long as you’re performing for the team, when the opportunity presents itself are you cool and calm enough to take it? He showed that tonight.”
