Joe Ironside shared the well-wishes from the whole Rovers squad to striker Louie Marsh after he suffered a severe arm injury in the EFL Trophy tie at Mansfield Town.
The on loan Sheffield United forward fell awkwardly on his arm and required oxygen during a lengthy period of treatment on the pitch at the One Call Stadium before being taken to hospital for assessment.

“First of all I want to say all our thoughts are with him,” Ironside said. “He’s a great lad and it’s sad to see what happened.
“Hopefully everything goes well for him and he can make a speedy recovery because he’s a great lad.”
Rovers responded well in the aftermath of the injury to fight back to level terms after falling 2-0 down early in the game.
Ironside netted the equaliser after Ben Close had pulled a goal back but Callum Johnson headed home for the hosts two minutes from time to take the win.
“The lads dug in after that and raised their levels,” Ironside said. “It can be difficult because of the lengthy stoppage and seeing your teammate badly hurt, it could easily go the other way.”
