Rovers U18s have picked up two positive results in friendlies against Chesterfield and Nottingham Forest.
With a 21-day gap between competitive fixtures for the youth team, professional development phase coach Frank Sinclair acted quickly to arrange friendlies against Chesterfield and Nottingham Forest.
Rovers hosted the Spirites on Saturday October 14 at the Hoober Homes Elite Performance Centre and the youth team were convincing 4-0 winners.
The youngsters then traveled to Nottingham on Tuesday October 17 where they came out on top of a five-goal thriller, beating Forest 3-2 thanks to goals from Jamie Tomlinson, Kenneth Imariagbe and an own goal from the hosts.
There will be no game this weekend (October 21, 2023) while the apprentices start their UEFA C coaching course with the PFA.
The U18s will next be in action against Notts County U18s on Saturday October 28 at Cantley Park. These fixtures remain family, friends and scouts who obtain an e-ticket only.
