Benjamin Speedie has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Tranmere Rovers on Friday.
The Merseyside official has taken charge of seven matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League One. He has issued 22 yellow cards and one red across those games.
This will be his sixth outing refereeing a Rovers game, since being promoted to the EFL in 2020.
His most recent game involving Rovers was the 2-1 win over Carlisle United on New Year’s Day. Of the five matches he has overseen, Rovers won three.
Speedie will be assisted by Callum Jones and Declan Ford on Friday while Karl Buckley has been assigned fourth official duties.
