Ross Joyce has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Everton U21 in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday.
The Cleveland official has taken charge of five matches this term across Sky Bet League One and Two. He has issued 25 yellow cards and one red across those games.
Joyce is no stranger to Rovers games, having taken charge of 15 over the last eight years.
His most recent outing was last season’s 2-0 home defeat to Crewe Alexandra - a fixture he also oversaw between the sides in the EFL Trophy which ended with the same scoreline at Gresty Road in December 2021.
Rovers’ overall record with Joyce in charge is eight wins and four defeats from 15 games.
Joyce will be assisted by Anthony Da Costa and Declan Ford on Saturday while Oliver Mackey has been assigned fourth official duties.
