We are delighted to launch Rovers Rewards - a new scheme to help the city’s primary schools recognise pupils throughout the year.
Rovers Rewards will see every primary school in Doncaster receive ten tickets for Rovers matches each six-week term to give out as prizes to deserving pupils.
That could be for achieving an outstanding result, good attendance, great behaviour or even just being a brilliant friend.
And schools may well get a visit from members of the Rovers squad in order to help hand out the prizes.
Club Doncaster marketing manager Mark Hughesman said: “Youngsters within our primary schools are our fans of the future and we are delighted to be able to offer them a chance to come and watch our stars in action as a reward for their achievements throughout the academic year.
“We felt that the reward should not just be for their academic results but also a reward for their personality, their kindness and exemplary attitude.
“We can’t wait to welcome the first of our young superstars to a game in the near future.”
The scheme was launched this week as several Rovers players - along with staff from Club Doncaster Foundation - dropped in at primary schools in the area to take part in Q&A sessions - including Louis Jones, who visited his old school Brooke Academy in Thorne.
Pupils at those schools each received free tickets for Rovers’ clash with Sutton United in October, plus the Belles’ homecoming to the Eco-Power Stadium against Middlesbrough on October 8.
These will also be distributed to all primary school children across the borough over the coming days.
