The Academy is seeking ‘home from home’ placements for our young players who live away from home to undertake their footballing training at the club during their two year scholarship.
We are interested in hearing from people who are able to offer placements for players and trialists between the ages of 16 and 18 years.
There are a number of players from a wide variety of locations and backgrounds who need to live away from home to undertake their scholarship with the football club. The Academy is looking to expand the host family scheme, particularly in the vicinity of the Cantley Park training ground, to ensure the ability to match each player to an appropriate family based on their needs.
We are currently seeking supportive, inclusive placements within family homes.
A variable monthly fee is payable to the host family for the duration of the placement, wiith players returning home at weekends following their games, and returning in time to start training again the following week.
