Hundreds of young people from across the city will attend Saturday’s final home game of the season thanks to the generosity of our commercial partners and local businesses.
To ensure the stands at the Eco-Power Stadium are bustling for the clash with Barrow, we called on our 100Club partners to return any of their ticket allocation for the game that was set to go unused.
And we also appealed to businesses across Doncaster to purchase special ticket packages.
The response was incredible and ensured that more than 550 tickets could be distributed to schools and junior football teams in the city.
This scheme, along with strong ticket sales throughout the week, will ensure the highest home attendance of the season for the game, as Rovers go in search of a ninth consecutive win.
Marketing manager Mark Hughesman said: “We are incredibly grateful to both our partners and other local businesses for making these donations.
“We took the decision to prioritise giving youngsters an experience of what should hopefully be a memorable day at the Eco-Power Stadium.
“And with the response from supporters to our brilliant winning run, the stands will be packed out for the game. Let’s cheer the lads on to another positive result.”
