Important information on catering provision for Barrow clash

19 April 2024

As Rovers head into their final home league game of the season on a run of eight consecutive wins, demand for the fixture against Barrow has been understandably high.

With 24 hours still remaining before kick-off, ticket sales so far have ensured we will have our highest home attendance of the season - bettering the Carabao Cup clash with Everton and recent league game against Wrexham. The Polypipe South Stand is sold out for the game while the SMTXtra USA East Stand has been made fully available for home supporters.

Throughout the season, fans have been incredibly supportive of the club’s new catering provision with the range and quality of the street food offering receiving plaudits in national newspapers and online.

As a result of higher than average ticket sales for Saturday’s game, the following changes have been made to our standard catering provision:

  • All kiosk outlets in the East Stand will be open - including the two kiosks at the north end of the stand in addition to those located in the family area.
  • Kiosk 10 in the James Coppinger West Stand, which has been used exclusively as a coffee bar this season, will be extended to include a range of hot food, confectionary and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cold drinks.

These changes will see an additional ten service points than the normal provision.

As throughout the season, all South Stand kiosks and service points will be open as normal.

Two food vans will also be located outside the stadium - one outside Belle Vue Bar and one close to the South Stand.

Despite additional measures in place, we would advise the supporters arrive early at the Eco-Power Stadium, based on the numbers attending the game.

Our promotional campaigns this week have been based on ensuring unused commercial partner season ticket allocations have been utilised by schools and junior teams across the city, plus tickets kindly donated by local businesses.

This, coupled with general ticket sales, has ensured that our home attendance alone will be at least 2,500 greater than the average of our total matchday attendance for the season.
