Officials confirmed for Morecambe clash

4 April 2024

Darren Drysdale has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Morecambe on April 7.

The Lincolnshire official has taken charge of 30 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League One. He has issued 108 yellow cards and four reds across those games.

This will be his second outing of the season refereeing a Rovers game having taken charge of the 1-0 win over Grimsby Town in October when he awarded a penalty which Joe Ironside scored.

The 53-year-old has previously handled them on 21 occasions since 2005. Of those games, Rovers won 11.

Drysdale will be assisted by Joseph Pettitt and Wayne Grunnill on Saturday while Richard Aspinall has been assigned fourth official duties.
