A message from the safety officer

20 April 2024

At our fixture against Accrington Stanley last weekend, a supporter entered the field of play following our fourth goal. While this was in celebration, the potential outcome of a player or official being assaulted or attacked could cause the club to suffer severe repercussions from the EFL and FA.

We are, indeed, under investigation by the Football Association for the events of last week.

We ask our supporters to stay in the stands at all times. Encroachment onto the pitch is a criminal offence which will result in arrest and a possible criminal record - as well as a lengthy ban from attending Rovers matches.

Following the final home league game of the season against Barrow on Saturday, the players hope to be able to return to the pitch following the end of the game in order to thank everyone for their support this season.

This will not take place if there is a pitch incursion of any kind.

Do not be the one person who spoils the occasion for thousands of others.

CCTV and crowd spotters will be in place throughout the match and anyone who goes onto the pitch will be identified.

Your support has been incredible but the season does not end this afternoon. Your season will however if you go onto the pitch.

Please stay off the pitch
