Charles Breakspear has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Wrexham on April 2.
The Surrey official has taken charge of 30 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League One. He has issued 146 yellow cards and nine red across those games.
This will be his first outing of the season refereeing a Rovers game but he previously handled them on seven occasions since 2014.
His most recent game involving Rovers was the 1-0 defeat to Swindon Town in September 2022. Of the seven matches, Rovers won just one - the 3-1 win at Exeter City during the 2016/17 season.
Breakspear will be assisted by Bradley Hall and Steve Durnall on Tuesday while Stephen Wade has been assigned fourth official duties.
