Rovers go green with Green Energy Advice Bureau partnership

25 February 2024

Club Doncaster is aiming to boost its environmental credentials after announcing a new partnership with the Green Energy Advice Bureau (GEAB).

The partnership will see GEAB monitor the club’s energy usage throughout the stadium, with a guarantee of reducing usage by ten per cent.

GEAB head of sustainability Liam Spence said: “We are thrilled to embark on a dynamic partnership with Doncaster Rovers, elevating their energy and carbon management while proudly contributing as sponsors.

“Together, we look forward to a winning synergy that powers success both on and off the pitch.”

Through the 100Club Partnership programme, the Green Energy Advice Bureau will also benefit from the access to new business opportunities in Doncaster and beyond.

Club Doncaster chief commercial officer Jon Warburton said: “It’s great to welcome Green Energy Advice Bureau as a 100Club Partner and we are excited to work with them on improving our energy efficiency at the stadium.

“The green agenda is of high priority for the club both financially and in terms of our commitment to having a positive effect on the environment.”
