Officials confirmed for Grimsby Town trip

15 February 2024

Thomas Kirk has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Grimsby Town on February 17.

The Manchester official has taken charge of 24 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League One and League Two. He has issued 96 yellow cards and one red across those games.

This will be his second outing of the season refereeing a Rovers game, having taken charge of the 4-0 defeat at Newport County in August.

Kirk - also the CEO of an estate agents - previously handled them on two other occasions in the previous season, since being promoted to the EFL in 2022

Of the three matches in total, Rovers won one - the 1-0 win over Barrow last February.

Kirk will be assisted by Joe Simpson and Callum Gough on Saturday while Lauren Impey has been assigned fourth official duties.
