One step at a time is working for us: Lo-Tutala

Thimothée Lo-Tutala believes Rovers’ recent run of form has shown the one-step-at-a-time approach is paying dividends for Grant McCann’s side.

McCann has sought to ignore league standings and instead purely focused on each game in succession as he looks to spark a climb up the table in the final few months of the campaign.

Speaking to the media ahead of the trip to Grimsby Town, goalkeeper Lo-Tutala says he feels Rovers have been on the right track on their current three-game unbeaten run.

Rovers will take a sold out away following to Blundell Park this weekend and while excited by the occasion, the 21-year-old insists the focus of the team will not shift.

“We’re definitely looking forward to this game and we’re all feeling really good,” he said. “There’s a very good atmosphere at the training ground.

“With the last game at Salford, it was a bit difficult at the end not winning the game, but the situation that we’re in currently compared to where we were three or four games ago, it’s progression.

“We just have to take each game in succession. With this game at Grimsby, it’s a derby but in reality it’s just another game where we need to go and get three points. We can’t go overboard.

“We need to know what our objective is and the objective is to get as high as we can up the table. By God’s grace we will do that tomorrow.”

Lo-Tutala has settled in quickly to life at Rovers.

“I’ve really enjoyed it,” he said. “Not having lost a game yet is a real positive and I’m doing what I can to make sure that goes as long as possible.

“The boys have really welcomed me really well and the staff as well. I’m enjoying it and it’s all top people here.”
