Scott Simpson has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Sutton United on February 3.
The Staffordshire official has taken charge of 20 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League Two. He has issued 97 yellow cards and eight red across those games.
This will be his first outing refereeing a Rovers game having been promoted to the EFL at the start of the season.
Simpson will be assisted by Joseph Stokes and Declan O’Shea on Saturday while Ryan Head has been assigned fourth official duties.
