Sam Purkiss has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Walsall on March 2.
The London-based official has taken charge of 26 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League One and League Two. He has issued 116 yellow cards and 11 reds across those games.
This will be his second outing of the season refereeing a Rovers game, having taken charge of the 3-1 defeat at Harrogate Town in January.
All three of his previous matches have ended in defeat for Rovers.
Purkiss will be assisted by Stuart Kane and Jacob Graham on Saturday while Lee Freeman has been assigned fourth official duties.
