Attendance4Attendance returns as Rovers help reward school pupils

11 June 2024

We are delighted to announce the return of our school ticketing scheme, Attendance4Attendance.

A popular and successful programme first launched almost a decade ago, the initiative aims to reward primary school children across the city for their dedication to attending school, while also fostering a love for their local football team.

Here is how Attendance4Attendance works:

Throughout each half-term, primary school children in Doncaster who achieve a 97 per cent attendance rate will be eligible to receive a free ticket to a Rovers home league fixture.

Not only that, but the young Rovers fan can also bring an adult companion along with them at a discounted price.

This fantastic initiative provides a win-win situation for children, families and schools.

Children will be recognised for their commitment to attending school and get to experience the thrill of a live Rovers match for free!

Families can enjoy a fun and affordable day out at the Eco-Power Stadium, cheering on their heroes together.

And schools have a ready-made incentive to support attendance, available to them at no cost.

Chief commercial officer, Shaun Lockwood said: "Attendance4Attendance was a really popular programme, but due to the pandemic and restrictions that we’re put in place it became difficult for children to achieve and schools to administer.

"We’re really excited about bring the scheme back for 2024/25 and to kick start the programme will be offering every primary school in Doncaster chance to take part in the initiative before the schools break up for the summer holidays with one of our opening home league matches being the fixture children can receive a free ticket to.

"We know from when we last operated the scheme, this programme introduces a new generation of supporters to the Rovers family, creating fans of the future and lasting memories."

We will be supplementing the Attendance4Attendance initiative with another existing programme, RoversRewards, which gives schools the opportunity to administer free tickets to children for other reasons rather than attendance.
