Paul Howard has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Colchester United on March 12.
The London official has taken charge of 30 matches this term, with the majority coming in Sky Bet League One and League Two. He has issued 104 yellow cards and four reds across those games.
This will be his first outing of the season refereeing a Rovers game but he previously handled them on two occasions since December 2020.
His most recent game involving Rovers was the goalless draw at Fleetwood Town in March 2022. Of the two matches, Rovers won one and drew one.
Howard will be assisted by Andy Bennett and Alex Bradley on Tuesday while Joseph Stokes has been assigned fourth official duties.
