We are delighted to confirm that Zain Westbrooke has signed a new contract to commit his future to the club until the summer of 2026.
The midfielder was in excellent form for Rovers prior to injury and has recently returned to action.
“I’m really happy to get this over the line,” Westbrooke said. “I’m excited for the future.
“I’ve enjoyed it since the first minute I came here. Everyone was so welcoming and my family have really enjoyed living here as well.
“It’s been great being part of this team and long may that continue.”
Westbrooke joined Rovers in March 2023, initially on a short-term deal before securing a one-year contract last summer.
The 27-year-old has made 36 appearances for the club, scoring twice.
Manager Grant McCann said: “It’s great news to have Zain on board for another two years.
“Zain has been outstanding when he’s been in the team this season. He was unfortunate to pick up the injury when he did but he’s getting back to where he can be.
“We love his energy and the way he can control a game and he will play a huge part in the group moving forwards.”
