Scott Oldham has been appointed referee for Rovers’ Sky Bet League Two play-off semi-final second leg against Crewe Alexandra on May 10.
The Lancashire official has taken charge of 40 matches this term, with the majority coming in League One. He has issued 114 yellow cards and eight red across those games.
This will be his second outing of the season refereeing a Rovers game having overseen the 3-2 defeat at Barrow in September.
In total he has refereed ten Rovers matches dating back to 2018. Of those ten games, Rovers won four and lost the last four.
Oldham will be assisted by Conor Brown and Jacob Lehane on Friday while Thomas Kirk has been assigned fourth official duties. Grant Taylor will act as reserve assistant referee.
