Joe Sbarra has only one goal in mind after becoming Rovers’ first signing of the summer - promotion.
Manager Grant McCann emphatically laid out the challenge of automatic promotion next season following Rovers’ play-off heartache.
And having missed out on promotion in the National League play-off final with previous club Solihull Moors a few weeks ago, Sbarra is determined to go straight up with Rovers.
“Coming in here, the aim is to go up,” the midfielder said.
“I’ve had the heartbreak in the play-offs as well and I don’t want to go through that again so let’s miss it out. He’s very adamant on that.
“For the last few years I’ve been right up there at the end of the season and hopefully I can come in here and we can get the job done.”
