Gary McSheffrey was appointed Rovers' first-team manager on December 29 after a month in caretaker charge of the club.
McSheffrey has previously played for Rovers to the back end of his playing career across two spells.
He returned to the club as U23s coach before replacing Paul Stancliffe as U18s manager in June 2021.
In December he signed a one-year rolling contract at the Eco-Power Stadium.
