Ro-Shaun Williams arrived at Rovers on June 18, 2021, on a free transfer from league rivals Shrewsbury Town.
Coming through the Manchester United Academy, Williams joined from local side Fletcher Moss Rangers, the same side where England players Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard and Danny Welbeck all begun their careers.
He was an England youth international, competing in the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Since turning professional, Williams had starred in Shrewsbury Town’s backline over the past two seasons notching up 97 appearances.
He is also known for his electric speed, breaking a school 100m sprint record previously held by former Team GB gold medallist Darren Campbell.
