Rovers midfielder Liam Ravenhill has been called up to the Northern Irish U21s squad for their UEFA European Championship qualifier against Ukraine.
It’s a second call-up in quick succession for the 17-year-old, who will join up with the squad immediately, alongside Rovers teammate Danny Amos.
It has been a great few weeks for Ravenhill, after he backed up his first international recognition with a debut off the bench in Rovers’ Emirates FA Cup win at FC United of Manchester.
He made his full debut on Tuesday night in the Papa John’s Trophy tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers U21s at the Keepmoat Stadium.
