Halliday happy to play anywhere

19 January 2021

Brad Halliday says he’s happy to play wherever needed after showing his versatility in recent weeks.

The right-back has filled in on the wing and as a holding midfielder, and believes that shows the trust manager Darren Moore has in his players.

He said: “It was good, I enjoyed playing in midfield and I have played there earlier in my career so I felt comfortable.

“We all learn about different positions so if we’re needed to fill in then we know the responsibilities of playing there.

“Myself, Reece James and Joe Wright have all slotted into areas we’re not used to but we’ve shown we’re more than capable of that.”

Ahead of the game against Rochdale in Sky Bet League One on Tuesday night, Hallidays says the squad are preparing for a difficult encounter..

He added: “It will be a really tough game, they pose a threat going forward and as we’ve seen recently they score a lot of goals.

“They’re similar to us in the way they like to dominate possession, but we’re at home and we’ll look to take the game to them.”
